(August 5, 2009) Durango Colorado - The Durango Telegraph is reporting that Mountain bikers looking to push the envelope or hikers and runners wanting solitude and great views now have one more option in Durango.

Fisher Trek Philharmonic was the sound of our disc brakes squealing, returning from the hill climb in the singletrack after the Prologue of the Breck Epic. There was rain, thunder and lightning at the start and it rained harder as we climbed. In the singletrack we actually were able to descend when I heard behind me, “Mary, is that you?”

(November 12, 2008) Somewhere in Costa Rica – Crested Butte resident and local dirt trooper Travis Underwood reports from the trenches of Costa Rica’s hardest (Worlds hardest?) mountain bike race. La Ruta de los Conquistadores.

(October 11-12, 2008) MOAB, UTAH- The fourteenth annual 24 hours of Moab started with clear skies, no rain this year. However racers and anyone else exposed had to deal with the hellacious desert winds. A steady 25-35 mile hour winds were made for miserable racing conditions, not to mention the havoc it caused my camera gear.

(August 24, 2008) Napa, Calif. – We were somewhere on 19th Avenue in San Francisco, heading north through rush hour traffic, one car per green, when the grande mocha began to take hold. I remember saying something like “I’m beginning to feel pretty anxious, maybe you should drive”. It was 10 till, the party had already been going for an hour, and the ride was advertised to start promptly at 5.
